I have such a soft spot for that vintage look. This expectant mama was looking for some old-style photos of her adorable, curly-haired cutie in front a gorgeous background. Instead of a more traditional maternity shoot, we did a family playdate at this beautiful park that included kiddo photos, family photos, and a couple of maternity poses. Toddlers can be tricky little humans, especially considering naps, snacks, and their budding desire for independence. Which is exactly what I love about them! They are unpredictable in the cutest of ways and it's such a joy to see what they create. Little I was just so incredibly creative and sweet. I loved being included in her tea party with her stuffed animals and hearing her explain quite dramatically in toddler-speak about many things. She delighted in chasing after her parents through the park, hiding behind the trees, and pulling a wagon through the flowers.
I always feel like parents deserve so much credit for the cute shots that we get, Samantha and Scott put on such a show behind me to get those sweet smiles. Samantha spent a good amount of time running up and down the paths with I to get her giggling and smiling. (I don't think I could have done that much running when I was expecting my little!) I love the dramatic stormy skies in several of the photos. The deluge came quickly, but before it did, we got some great shots with the storm clouds in the background.
I look forward to meeting their new little one this fall! Keep an eye out for their newborn photos coming later this fall!
